Team Gold for Germany at the FEI Jumping World Championships

We are incredibly proud to congratulate Aloga team rider Marcus Ehning and the entire German team on winning Team Gold at the 2026 FEI Jumping World Championships.
Competing on home soil in front of an incredible crowd of around 40,000 spectators, Germany delivered a remarkable performance to take the World Championship title: their first World Championship team gold at home in Aachen.
And at the heart of that performance was Marcus and Coolio 42.
Three rounds. Three clears. World Champions.

Marcus was the first German rider to enter the arena in the decisive team final, carrying the responsibility of setting the tone for his team. And set the tone he did. Marcus and Coolio produced their third clear round of the championship, demonstrating the consistency, precision and experience that have become hallmarks of Marcus's career.
With the atmosphere building under the Aachen floodlights, and rain adding another challenge to an already demanding evening, the pair delivered exactly what Germany needed. It was a masterclass in calm, focused championship riding. German Chef d'Equipe Otto Becker praised Marcus's performance throughout the championship, highlighting the experience he brought to the team and noting that he was clear on all three days.
A special moment in Aachen

For Marcus, the victory carried an extra layer of significance. Twenty years ago, in 2006, he was part of the German team that won bronze at Aachen. He also helped Germany win World Championship team gold in 2010 in Kentucky. Now, two decades after that first Aachen World Championship appearance, Marcus returned to the podium in the same arena. This time as a World Champion. It is a remarkable achievement and a wonderful reflection of the experience, horsemanship and longevity that Marcus continues to bring to the sport. And alongside him throughout this championship was Coolio 42, who rose brilliantly to the occasion. Speaking after his performance, Marcus summed up his partnership with his horse simply: “I’m simply fascinated by my horse.”

We think that says it all. A golden German team, Marcus, Coolio 42, Sophie Hinners, Daniel Deusser and Richard Vogel combined to secure the gold medal for Germany, finishing on just 4.48 points. Belgium took silver, with Great Britain claiming bronze.
For Germany, it was a truly memorable night, made even more special by the fact that the title was won in front of a passionate home crowd.
From everyone at Aloga, huge congratulations to Marcus Ehning, Mel Jobst and Coolio 42 on becoming Team World Champions! We are incredibly proud to have Marcus as part of the Aloga team and to watch him continue to perform at the very highest level of our sport.
Three clears. One unforgettable championship. One very special gold medal.
Here’s to an incredible achievement in Aachen and many more to come.
