How to care for your horse rug?

Gentle Washing: Use a washing machine set to a gentle 30°C cycle and Non-Bio detergent. To maintain the rug's quality, avoid overwashing it.

No Fabric Softeners: Avoid fabric softeners, as they can leave a residue that might affect the rug's breathability and moisture-wicking properties.

Velcro Closure: Before washing, securely fasten all Velcro closures. Regularly clean these closures to prevent dirt buildup and maintain their effectiveness.

Drying: After washing, hang the rug to air dry. Avoid tumble drying, as it can damage the rug's materials.

Proper Storage: Once the rug is completely dry and clean, store it in a cool, dry place to prevent mould and mildew growth.

Regular Maintenance: Brush off dirt and debris regularly to reduce the need for frequent washing. This practice also extends the rug's lifespan.

Proper Storage: Once the rug is completely dry, store it in a cool, dry place to prevent mould and mildew growth.

Professional Cleaning: For heavily soiled rugs or those with unique features like waterproofing, consider professional cleaning services specialising in horse gear.

What does G stand for?

G stands for gram, the measurement for the weight of filling in the blanket. The higher the weight, the greater the warmth the blanket offers. However, not all fibres used in horse blankets offer the same value. Aloga Equestrian only uses the best of fibres, which are produced and treated according to our strict guidelines, ensuring lasting performance. Poor-quality filling collapses after a short period. Our filling is tested to guarantee it retains its loft and thermal value.

What does D stand for?

Denier is a unit used to measure fabric weight, affecting its strength. However, fabric performance for horse blankets depends on various factors. At Aloga Equestrian, we've extensively researched, designed, manufactured, and fabric treatments. We optimise tear strength by considering denier weight alongside yarn selection, treatment, and manufacturing techniques, ensuring strong blankets without unnecessary weight.

What does T stand for ?

The letter 'T' denotes the thread count per square inch of fabric. At Aloga Equestrian, we carefully choose the optimal 'T' value for the linings we use to achieve our liners' resilient, sleek, and non-abrasive finish.

What is your Quality Control process?

As horse owners, we understand the precise expectations of our customers. In equestrian sports, like in business, success hinges on perfecting even the smallest details.

Our goal has always been to create functional products that meet our high standards. To achieve this, we've taken control of the entire design and manufacturing process from start to finish.

Our team inspects each stage of production according to our internal quality guidelines. From the fabric, weaving, treating and dying to the eventual cutting and stitching is monitored at every stage. This gives us the confidence to deliver you a product engineered to perform.
